Q - How will my child get to away games?
A - We rely on parent volunteers to get get student athletes to the away games. We need every parent to fill out the Authorization to Use Private Vehicle form so that they are able to take other students in their car. We can not allow you to take another student if this form is not filled out properly. We will do our best to get every student a ride to away games.
Q - What is the procedure for students when after school activities are cancelled due to weather?
A - We follow the Douglas County School District weather cancellations. You would get an email from BFA if after school activities have been cancelled. There would also be an announcement at school so the students will know. Please have plan set in place with your child. They should know if you would plan to pick them up during carpool or if they should ride the bus home. A student would not be turned away from the bus if they do not usually ride it, but you would get billed for it at a later time.
Q - Do I need to fill out the forms again if I already filled them out for another sport?
A - You will need to register your child online again for the new sport. As long as your child has had a physical within that calendar year (through the end of that sport) you do not need to turn in another medical form. We will keep that on file. Starting this year you only need to fill out one Vehicle Form for the whole year unless your insurance expires mid year.
